A new sidebar, a rebuilt Quick actions, and a faster hub

The sidebar is new, and collapsing it now clears the screen

Every row sits where it did. Same order, same groups, same labels, same destinations, and Cmd/Ctrl+\ still toggles the whole thing. What changed is everything around them.

Collapsing no longer leaves a strip of icons behind. It takes the sidebar to zero. Brush the left edge of the screen and the whole thing floats back as a card over the page, labels and open trees intact, and the toggle in its first row pins it there if you want to keep it. If you worked collapsed and clicked the icon rail to get around, that rail is gone. Reach for the screen edge instead, or pin it open once it floats out. You can also drag the sidebar's edge to resize it, and throwing it past its minimum collapses it.

The row you are on has stopped marking itself in violet. It takes a neutral fill, and the label and icon both thicken. In a column of twenty rows, one accent color stops saying "you are here" and starts saying "this is the sidebar". The highlight travels now, too: it glides from row to row instead of blinking on and off, and it carries across groups rather than restarting inside each one.

The first row is the shell itself: your avatar, the organization mark, the toggle. The mark opens a searchable picker (Cmd/Ctrl+O) with every workspace you belong to, your role in each, and any invitations waiting on you. The theme switch moved into the account menu, and flipping it washes the new theme across the page from the top-left corner. Quick actions sits above the navigation as a field with its ⌘K chip on the end.

Right-click any navigation row for open, open in a new tab, and copy link. Board and page rows in the trees keep rename and delete there too.

The header keeps up with the page

The sidebar now sits flat on the canvas and the page floats above it, with margins and a shadow of its own. The header lost its blur and draws a hairline only after you scroll. Once the heading leaves the screen the header takes over the page title, so a long document never leaves you guessing what you are in. Deep breadcrumb trails fold into a popover instead of running off the edge. The sidebar toggle shows up there only while the sidebar is collapsed, or on a phone.

Quick actions finds the row you meant

Cmd/Ctrl+K now opens onto a single full-width column of tight one-line rows. The column of types down the side is gone; filtering by type moved into a scope control at the end of the input. The dialog sits high on the screen, so the box stops recentering under your cursor while results arrive.

Matching got strict. Every word you type has to appear in the result, so a three-letter query returns rows that contain those letters. Search used to float near-misses above the thing you were reaching for.

With an empty query the palette leads with the surface you are on, then what you touched recently, then create, commands, and navigation. Cmd/Ctrl+Enter opens the highlighted result in a new tab.

Every page opens without the pause

Boards, pages, customer lists: each one used to sit still for a beat before anything showed up, and it happened on every surface, every time you moved. That beat is gone. Pages open straight onto their content.

While one loads you get a skeleton shaped like the layout about to replace it, on every hub surface, so moving around the hub feels immediate instead of blank.

Setting up a workspace is one flow

Creating a workspace used to run across three screens that each called it something different. Now it is register, then a three-step wizard: Workspace, Team, Devices. The step lives in the URL, so a reload picks up where you left off and nothing dead-ends. Steps two and three are skippable.

Language and timezone are set in step one, which means the workspace has them from the first minute. Hub greetings read right, and so does every date the server writes: invitation emails, notifications, exports, scheduled work. They used to fall back to UTC until someone went looking for the setting. Step two invites your first teammates without hunting for the Members card, and step three offers push notifications and app install where the device supports them.

You can see when your work is saved

Every writing surface carries a save-status indicator now. It reports saving while it writes and saved once it lands, and when a dropped connection means your last edit did not make it, it says so instead of staying quiet.

Planned downtime has a page of its own

Open the hub during an update or a scheduled maintenance window and you land on a page that names the window, rather than something broken. When the window lifts you go back to the exact page you were after.

Connections switch on one provider at a time now, so a workspace can be given Google Calendar without being offered every other integration alongside it.

Tooltips wait a moment before opening. Crossing the sidebar with your pointer no longer drags a run of them behind the cursor.
