Hide a column from one view, and boards scroll sideways again

Hide the columns a view doesn't need

Boards collect columns nobody is working in this week. Until now the only way to stop looking at one was to delete it, and its cards went with it. Now you can leave it out of a view instead. Open the column's … menu and choose Hide in this view.

Nothing happens to the column or its cards. Other views of the same board still show it, and Table, Grid, and Calendar keep working with the whole board. Keep a trimmed view for this week's work next to one that shows everything.

To bring a column back, open Customize view and go to Columns. Every column on the board is listed there with its own switch, hidden ones included, and the closed section tells you how many are hidden. Anyone who can only view the board sees the view as it was saved. Tools and AI agents you connect to SharpOS can hide and show columns in a view too.

Boards scroll sideways from anywhere

Swipe sideways on a trackpad, or hold Shift and scroll, and the board moves through its columns wherever your pointer is. That includes the middle of a column full of cards, which used to hold the board still. Columns no longer draw a sideways scrollbar of their own. Scrolling up and down still moves only the column you're in.

A fast swipe now stops at the last column. It won't carry on and send your browser back a page.

Dragging cards got steadier as well. Drop a card into another column and the board stays exactly where it was, title and column headers included. The column you're dragging into holds still while you pick a spot, so the card lands where you can see it. Drag toward a column that's off screen and the board still slides over to meet you.

A slimmer board header

The board's title and icon are a size smaller, and the header is shorter. That room goes back to your columns, so more cards fit on screen.

Websites built on a board get every post

If your website pulls its blog posts, case studies, or docs from a SharpOS board, it gets the whole board again. Posts that had dropped off the site come back without any change on your side.

Developers reading a large board through the API can fetch it a page at a time, with or without each card's content. Every card comes back exactly once, even while your team is editing the board.
